Upcoming Tom movie: “The Disappeared”

Tom Felton in The Disappeared

Small update from the director: We are currently sorting out release dates, it will be released but there is no date set yet, I will keep you posted.

Also, the director commented on working with Tom: He’s in the film quiete a bit, he is an excellent actor and it was such a joy to work with him, he is a true gentlemen on set!

This is old news really, but someone e-mailed us about it today, so we thought we’d post a bit about it.

Tom will have a supporting role in the upcoming independent horror film directed by Johnny Kevorkian. From what we can tell, there is no official release information about the film, though it is supposed to be out this month. If anyone knows more, please comment!

Tom mentioned on Australian morning show, “Mornings with Karrie-Anne”

A loyal Feltbeats.com reader has informed us that the “Mornings with Karrie-Anne” show discussed Tom’s music yesterday and even played a clip of “Time Isn’t Healing.” Awesome! Tom is really big in Australia, isn’t he?

We know it’s unlikely, but if anyone has a clip we’d love to link to it!

Tom mentioned as part of Carp Tournament announcement

Thanks to user bserlori from the Feltbeats.com Forum, we have the following Tom news tip:

Tom has been mentioned in the announcement of the 2008 St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament.

Tom Felton and his brother Chris have been an important part of the St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament and are outspoken advocates of Carp fishing. Tom’s older brother Chris suggested a youth tournament six years ago, and it is still going strong and has grown each year.

It’s not really Feltbeats related, but we figured it would be of interest!

Note: Users like bserlori who send us Tom-related news tips, photos or icons will get a special award icon on their Feltbeats.com Forum account. =) Congrats beserlori!

Feltbeats on Last.fm

This is kinda cool. Feltbeats now has a page on Last.fm, with lots of “listeners.” You can’t actually listen to the music yet, but maybe one day…

Note that the keywords assigned to him are “mellow” (so true!) and “wizard rock” (LOL! Not quite as true).

Also, we like this “Time Isn’t Healing” cover the most of the ones we’ve seen so far.

Small mention of Tom in Australian Newspaper

Today Tom was mentioned in The Daily Telegraph’s music roundup section. You have to scroll allllllll the way to the bottom to see it, but hey, it’s there. =) Here’s what it says:

Meanwhile, it seems Tom Felton, the bleach-blond actor who plays Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter films, fancies himself as a singer/songwriter.

Last week, Felton posted on YouTube a video of himself playing guitar and singing original songs.

Tom at Youth Centre - can he play drums, too?

This is a bit of an old story, but we love it so it’s going up. =)

It’s a story about a Youth Centre in Bookham which might close due to lack of funds, but local residents, including Tom Felton, have made donations to keep it alive. From the story:

[Tom Felton], now 20, who says he spent much of his life between the ages of six and 15 at the centre, is among those who have made donations.

And also:

Tom Felton has a lot of time for the Bookham Youth Centre. As he played pool at Saturday’s open day the former Howard of Effingham student told The Bugle, ‘I came here between the ages of six and 15’. The 20 year old star had attended the centre’s summer scheme and its Thursday and Friday club nights. Tom didn’t say so but we understand he has handed over to the centre some of the hard-earned cash he made in his role as Harry Potter villain Draco Malfoy.

Feltbeats coverage on PR Inside

The PR release Web site, pr-inside.com, has posted an article about Tom’s music career.

HARRY POTTER villain TOM FELTON has prompted speculation he’s set to become the next musical actor after posting videos of secret pop performances online.

The 20 year old, who plays bully Draco Malfoy in the Potter films, appears to be cashing in on his film fame by using his celebrity status to launch a career in the music industry.

Felton has posted videos of himself singing while strumming a guitar on website YouTube.com earlier this week (begs12May08).

He started out singing in a church choir at the age of seven, before a friend suggested he try his hand at acting.

Reports suggest Felton is going back to his musical roots - and already has an album in the works.

Not really any new information… I thought that “secret pop performances” was kind of funny. It’s not really secret if you post it to YouTube, is it now? LOL!

Perez Hilton reviews Feltbeats videos

Note: Over the next few days I’m going to be posting some stuff that may be a little old, but I’d like to sort of get caught up, so just bear with me. =)

Perez Hilton, infamous and annoying blogger for perezhilton.com, posted a note about Tom’s videos!

British actor Tom Felton - the bleached blonde bully in the Harry Potter flicks- is also a budding musician.

Groan.

Felton has an album in the works and he’s even opened himself up to criticism by already posting some home-made vids of him singing on YouTube.

Click here to watch his “medley.”

You like?

LOL. I think the funny thing is that the comments are pretty overwhelmingly positive! Some people even defended Tom from Hilton’s “Groan” comment - though I’m not sure that was really Hilton expressing his opinion of Tom’s music, but rather the idea of “another” crossover artist.

Anyway, check it out and post something positive for Tom!
