We have lots of great things planned for next year, so stay tuned. We hope all of you – and Tom! – have the BEST year ever!
We’ve actually had many requests for a Feltbeats.com widget, so a while ago we created one, but it proved slightly difficult to integrate on some sites.
However, thanks to our lovely and talented administrator LexaM, we now have a new widget from Widgetbox which can be more easily included on a wide variety of sites – including Facebook, MySpace and LiveJournal.
This new widget application features the ability to customize the width and height of the widget, the background color, and whether or not photos and summaries are included or just the main headlines. We think the black, shiny version (shown here) looks damn sharp.
If you use the widget, please leave a comment with your URL so we can check it out! We’d love to see what you’re doing.
Also, remember that Feltbeats.com news is available in the following formats:
- Feltbeats.com news widget
- Follow Feltbeats.com on Twitter
- RSS feed of Feltbeats.com news
- RSS feed of Feltbeats.com comments – in case you want to keep up to date on how GUELLI feels about Tom
Feltbeats.com has been a little bit slow lately – mostly because some of us are busy with work and some of us are going on amazing holiday vacations to warm, exotic locales. Oh yes, you know who you are.
But, we wanted to update you on a few things:
- We are still working closely with Tom on some amazing projects that we hope to bring you early next year. *rubs hands together maniacally*
- The “Emma” contest is progressing, and we hope to be able to make an announcement in a few days.
- We’ve actually had a request to post all of our HolidayHat!Draco images in our photo gallery. So, it is now here. We’re glad you like them and they’re becoming a little holiday tradition.
- Also, Tom wanted us to tell all of you, his fans, that he wishes you a very Merry Christmas and the best New Year! And, if you feel in a giving mood, please donate to the Great Ormond Street Hospital, a cause which Tom supports!
Thanks to FeltForum member LilyGinny for providing us with a scan of Tom’s appearance in “Field and Stream” magazine. He was nominated by the publication for a “hero” award for his work sponsoring the Junior Carp Fishing Tournament.
Here is a video from the event. Tom is in it starting at 1:20-1:48.
Thank you to forum member, DeathlyHallows for the video.
Patients celebrated the festive period yesterday, with a special group of celebrity friends at their magical ‘Christmas Spectacular’ party.
Over 1,800 children and their families gathered throughout the day at Coram’s Field in central London for the annual Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Christmas Party.
Winter wonderland
All the children who attended have been treated by the hospital. They were whisked away to a wintry world, and plenty of assorted elf helpers were on hand to make sure they had an extra special day to remember – complete with elves, snow and reindeer!
Celebrities who attended to show their support and add some Christmas sparkle included:
- Tess Daly
- Strictly Come Dancing’s professional dancers Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova
- X Factor duo Same Difference
- Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson
- Cast of Harry Potter including Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton)
- Casts of Phantom of the Opera and Hairspray
- Boy band, ‘Avenue’
- High School Musical dancers
