Review: Tom Felton outperforms adults in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”

A new review from The Auburn Plainsman gives a great review to our Tom Felton in his role of Draco Malfoy:

However, it’s Tom Felton, the best of the child actors since the first film, who steals the show as the hardened yet tortured Draco. He’s always had that haughty sneer down pat, but we see another side of him in this film, and he outperforms even the adults.

Thanks to iaryavie for the tip!

Another quick update regarding Tom Felton’s planned WWII film, “Grace and Danger”

If you’re a fan of “Grace and Danger” on Facebook, you’ve gotten a new update today from the the movie’s director, Rhys Hayward.

This is the World War II movie in which Tom Felton is set to play an American soldier named Carnaby.

The director’s note today read as follows:

Great to see we now have over 100 members, and appear to be growing strong – huge thanks to Feltbeats and others who have helped to promote Grace and Danger!… Nice to see popularity up 20% on imdb:)

Our favourite blonde gentleman should now have a copy of the current script – his agent requested it yesterday. No real changes since he auditioned last year, although the ending is far more poignant. Let’s hope it meets with his approval.

Back tomorrow (hopefully!) with more news regarding cast – have been chasing agents like mad.

We will keep you updated as Mr. Haryward gives us updates!

It’s Entertainment (Weekly) all around! Tom Felton in print & online

Entertainment Weekly has upped its Potter quotient with features both in print and on EW.com. First is a photo from this weeks magazine version featuring an image of Tom as Draco manipped onto a different background with fellow co-stars Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, and Daniel Radcliffe. As you can see, they think he’s “grown into a fine actor.” Thanks to Feltbeats Army member Stormlite02 for twitpic-ing it for us!

This next one was featured on EW.com in an article entitled Harry Potter: 10 Teen Movie Parallels. EW.com took 10 various HP characters and circumstances and related them to other famous films including The Dead Poets Society, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Clueless and one of my (personal) all time favorites, Better off Dead. You can read all about the rest of the parallels by clicking here.

EW2

You can read EW.com’s review of the film (they gave it an A-) as well as watch a video discussion of the film by clicking here. One reviewer called it “Star Wars as written by Dickens.” What do you think?
