New photos of Tom have made their way into our inbox this morning. The bulk of them are from his Sunday session at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, but this first one is a real treat, taken only the day before. I have no idea who this guy is dressed up as, but it looks like fun.

More news on the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” DVD sets!

Sue from our friends at The-Leaky-Cauldron.org has just pointed out to us that Tom is hosting one of the segments on the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” DVD. According to DVDTown.com, Tom will be the host of a six-and-a-half-minute segment called “What’s On Your Mind,” where the cast is put on the spot when asked a series of rapid-fire questions on their likes and dislikes.

This Special-Edition DVD with Tom’s special interview segment is included in the 2-Disc DVD set and the 3-Disc Blu-Ray Combo pack.

Additionally, the Blu-Ray disc includes “WB Maximum Movie Mode” where directors, producers and cast talk picture-in-picture throughout the film and give you the inside scoop while you watch the film. Tom is confirmed as one of only four cast members to participate in this feature (alongside the Gryffindor trio).

The DVD sets will be released Dec. 8, 2009. Just in time for the holidays (*hint hint*).

Also, MasterOfMystery from Snitchseeker has just given us this screenshot from the Ultimate Collector’s DVD, showing Tom as one of the cast who is featured in a rare interview. Thanks, Red!

As we mentioned yesterday, Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy will be one of three characters (along with Harry and Dumbledore) featured on the back cover of the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” US DVD. This prime promotional real estate really indicates the importance of his role in this movie.

However, Snitchseeker today has informed us that Tom has actually made the front cover of the HBP 3-Disc Combo Pack! This is top billing for Tom! According to our friends at Snitchseeker:

A new promo for the 3-disc Blu-ray set, which will include the movie itself (in Blu-ray and standard DVD), the special features, and a digital copy, has been released. It displays the cover (which alternates between Harry with Dumbledore and Snape with Draco), and a sneak preview into the cast and crew’s running commentary during the film.

As you can see in the image below, the image of Tom alternates with Daniel Radcliffe as the lead spot on the cover. Congratulations again, Tom!

Thanks to Snitchseeker, we now have news that Warner Brothers will feature Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy on the back cover of the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” DVD release in the United States. As there are only three characters on the back cover, this is a big deal and represents the importance of Tom’s role in the sixth film of the Potter franchise. Congratulations, Tom!

It’s been only a day since the announcement Tom gave concerning the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and already the one quote everyone remembers from it is that Tom declared “It’s going to blow some serious minds.” That’s okay, since Universal Studios in general seemed to blow Tom’s as he woke up this morning most excited about finally being able to relax and enjoy the park for what it is now that his work is done.

At an early 7:38 EST this morning, Tom tweeted:

woken up like a 5yr old and xmas day!can’t wait to go on some rides!!!! i’m literally a 5 year old..dnt want bfast or anything..just rides!

Is the park even open that early? Regardless, Tom was able to enjoy Universal Studios, and is already back in his hotel after what was probably a whirlwind tour of every roller coaster he could get his hands on.
