More photos of Tom Felton from Saturday

My daughter Catalina and I (Estrella89San) were in London last weekend, because my niece had with her team a football match in the Champions League against Arsenal LFC.

Therefore we were at the “Be a Gunner. Be a Runner.” charity event for the Great Ormond Street Hospital at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. We met Tom there and I have taken photos of him.

During that time Tom did an interview, he gave the start signal for both runs and he did hand over the cup. He took photos with the fans and gave a lot of signatures. On the photos of Draco, handed out by Jade, he signed his own name and also Draco’s.

After a little hesitation, my daughter and I also went over to ask for a photo with Tom. Cati didn’t dare to speak to him and so I tried. But all the sudden my really spare knowledge of the English language left me completely and I stuttered a bit. lol But then we managed a conversation with a mix of English and German. ;-)

For Cati it was a great experience, because she has now a photo with Tom, an autograph from him and when Tom gave the signal for the start at the adult run, Cati was allowed to press the start button from the stopwatch.

It was really fortunate for me and my daughter that the football match took place at an earlier date.

In new interview, Jason Isaacs calls Tom Felton “unfailingly polite” and “an incredible heartthrob”

Thanks to @snatalia and @HandsOfTime, we now have transcript of the portions (notice I did not say ‘bits’ this time! =) of Jason Isaac’s BBC radio 2 interview where he very sweetly mentions Tom. The full interview was posted to Snitchseeker yesterday and can be heard here.

Dermot (Interviewer) – The young actors, it must be a joy watching them grow up?

Jason – Yeah, they’ve all turned out – I know you would say this, but actually it is true of Daniel, Rupert, Emma and Tom, who plays my son and I’ve had the most contact with. They’ve all turned out to be really fine, grounded, humble young people, which is pretty extraordinary considering they’re the most famous young people on the planet – can’t call them kids any more – and extremely wealthy. I think it’s partly because they have been inside this community; they’ve not been treated special or different…

Dermot – He’s a good footballer as well, Tom. He was at Soccer Aid last year, and I’m doing it…

Jason – Are you? I bottled out!

Dermot – … but he came on last year as right wing. He got this wonderful, kind of chorus of theatrical boos.

Jason – Except you should know, he gets the biggest mailbag from young women. He’s an incredible heartthrob, and deserves it.

Dermot – Yeah, well he just sort of smiled and waved.

Jason – Yes he’s very charming. All of them are unfailingly polite…

Thanks again to Snitchseeker and to @snatalia and @HandsOfTime for their transcription services! =)

A look back at Tom Felton’s journey to a quarter of a million Twitter followers

It was almost a year ago when Feltbeats.com first announced that Tom Felton had joined Twitter, and Tom posted his first Tweet ever:

TomFelton: writing songs in my pyjamas!

Since then, we’ve all watched as he hit 50,000 followers only a month after signing up, and 200,000 followers last October.

His meteoric rise to Twitterfame has also been marked by many awards, achievements and special moments, such as when he won the Mashable.com award for “Best Actor/Actress to Follow on Twitter,” when he was ranked #86 on the “Most Influential” list of celebrity Twitterers, when Tom tweeted to the whole LeakyCon2009 convention, when self.com asked Tom our Twitter questions during their interview, when Tom was voted Best Harry Potter Twitterer in the 2009 “Leaky” awards (with 53% of the vote!), or when we teamed up with Tom Fletcher fans to get both Toms in the top three of the Mr. Twitter Universe competition.

To commemorate the event, Feltbeats Admin @bserlori (and resident cake decorator) has made Tom this nice congratulatory design. Very sweet, Lori! (And by sweet, I mean that literally; I’m getting a sugar high from just looking at the picture!)

Thanks Lori, and congratulations Tom – from all of your fans!

What are your favorite moments on Tom’s Twitter? Post in the comments and let us know!

Tom Felton to attend Great Ormond Street Hospital charity event

GOSH patients join the Arsenal team members at Emirates Stadium.

If you follow Tom Felton on Twitter, you probably saw him Tweet about the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity event which occurs tomorrow. Feltbeats.com has confirmed with Tom today that he is indeed attending this event, and wants to encourage everyone to go down to the Emirates Stadium and run 10 laps for charity! You can register here.

According to the Web site, the Great Ormond Street Hospital is teaming up with the Arsenal football team in the hopes of raising £500,000 for the children at the hospital. The money will be used to build a new lung function unit for children who have difficulty breathing or sleeping.
