Harry Potter star Tom Felton tells Sky News the campaign to back the so-called Robin Hood Tax on financial transactions in the banking system is gaining support both in the UK and across Europe.
As some of you remember, on Feburary 23rd we posted that the US DVD of Tom Felton’s movie “The Disappeared” would be available for purchase on May 18th. We informed you that we would let you know when it was made available for pre-order.
Well, good news!: Amazon has now made “The Disappeared” available for Pre-Order on their website.
Also – more exiting news – Amazon released what appears to be the US cover for the DVD.

Feltbeats.com has just been informed that Tom Felton will be a guest on Sky News tomorrow, April 9, sometime between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm (I assume this is UK time). Unfortunately, we don’t have a more specific time frame, but hopefully we’ll find out soon.
Tom will be interviewed along with actor/director Noel Clarke to promote the Robin Hood Tax, an idea proposed by a group of more than 300 economists and businessmen, where there would be a small tax on financial transactions that occur only between large institutions. There are estimates it could raise more than £250 to £450 billion a year worldwide. This money could then be used to help fight global climate change, world hunger, and more.
On the Sky News Web site, some quotes from the interview are revealed. During the interview, Tom says:
“Our challenge to Brown, Cameron and Clegg is to reach out and hug the Robin Hoodies.
Taking just a little from rich financial organisations could transform the lives of people in the UK whose jobs, homes and public services are under threat because of the economic crisis.”
Two European Tom Felton fan sites, TomFeltonEU.com and TomFeltonMedia.com, have worked together to create an auction to benefit The Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.
The organizers are asking for donations from fans which they will then sell on eBay using Mission Fish, where 100% of the proceeds are directly given to the hospital charity. They also have approval from Tom himself, as you can see on this screenshot (which is kind of cute, so I’m linking to it, LOL).
Feltbeats.com recieved an official photo from Universal Orlando today, depicting Hagrid’s Hut as part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
An authentic replica from the Harry Potter films, guests will pass by Hagrid’s Hut on their way to the Flight of the Hippogriff family-friendly roller coaster. Just before they board, Hagrid instructs guests on how to properly approach and fly on a Hippogriff.
As we have previously reported, Tom Felton will be attending the Grand Opening scheduled for June 18th, as well as multiple co-stars from the Harry Potter franchise.
