Solve the Code for Tom Felton’s “White Other”

Coming out live today is the website for Tom’s latest film, “Whiter Other”. Unlike other film websites, WhiteOther.com is an innovative mystery website that offers viewers the opportunity to solve a set of clues in order to get the code needed to view the film.

When asked why he decided to launch the website in this way, director Dan Hartley stated, “the inherent problem in generating interest in short films is their length. With this website we set out to create a lot of additional content, to give the audience an opportunity to explore the greater world of White Other.”

While attempting to solve the code, viewers will be led through a series of video clips, news reports and audio files from a variety of real and fictitious events. “We’re hoping to raise the bar in terms of what can be achieved in short film promotion but also use the internet as a means of expanding and populating the universe that the story is set in, therein creating the opportunity for White Other to develop into a feature film,” states Hartley.

The code will be released for film viewing on November 19th. In the meantime, check out WhiteOther.com and see if you can solve the mystery behind White Other. You never know, the clues could be easier, or harder than you think.

Tom Felton is a cheater, but we already knew that.

Thanks to Sabkay for sending us this short interview from the latest edition of Germany’s BRAVO Magazine. In this edition, Tom talks about creating his own record label [Six String Productions] in order to sign himself to a record deal, how music is his passion, but film is where he’ll be.

Nasty, nastier Draco Malfoy! For ten years, Tom Felton played Harry Potter’s villain, but through his music he shows his softer side with a cool voice and quiet guitar sounds. He’s already recorded a few songs, but now he is starting through – he got a deal with a music label! Well, almost… “I’d offered it me by myself,” Tom tells us with a smile. How’s that?! “It’s simple: I founded with two friends a record label and took myself under contract, I must admit, I cheated just a little,” laughs Tom in a BRAVO Interview. It doesn’t matter – there’s a great idea behind it: “We want to encourage young songwriters. They are allowed to romp out in our label.” Don’t panic, he won’t be giving up acting because of this: “Music may be my passion, but film is where I belong.”

Tom Felton Gets Extended in “Get Him to the Greek”

Thanks to Digital Spy for letting us know that there was just a wee bit more of Tom in his cameo from “Get Him to the Greek.” Seems there was at least one more HP joke that got thrown around while he was acting opposite Jonah Hill. You can catch it at the source. Just click on Tom below, and he’ll take you there.

New photos of Tom Felton and Imelda Staunton in “White Other”

In anticipation of next weeks big release of Tom’s latest film, “White Other,” we have some exciting new photos to show you, including a high quality version of the film’s poster released yesterday via LOVEFiLM.

Also new for you today is a message we received from Ray Marsden. As he’s on the road with his brother, he could still use all the friends and support he can get. He takes care of his own, and that includes his friends. Are you Ray’s friend? You should be.

Tom Felton is Screened, this time in English

Thanks to Chinami for sending us the English translation of Tom’s interview in Japan’s SCREEN magazine. Also, they’ve let us know about another little section in the same edition where Tom was mentioned. You can read about that below.

CAPTION ”Many encounters are the best memories”

Q:Please tell us Draco’s highlight scene in “Deathly Hallows” part 1.

There are spectacle scene where all the Malfoys get together. Voldemort uses Malfoy Manor as a kind of head office, and twenty of dark characters get together in the dining room. . Among them, only Draco is young and innocent. When filming, I was overwhelmed a bit as an actor, but I like that scene because only Draco has his conscience among them.

Q:What was the best memory in Harry Potter series?

Many encounters. That is the best memory. It was a honor that I could work with the same casts and crews in these 10 years. I was lucky enough to meet my girlfriend there. We have been together for about four years now, and I got my best friends too. Also I was invited to several wedding parties of the members. It was so nice to have many friends through your job.

Q:You have spent 10 years with this film. Do you feel any anxiety as this projects has finished?

As an actor, no experience would be more fearful and expecting. Of course now I’m enjoying the feeling of freedom to do this or that, but if I don’t get to do what I wanted to do, I would feel empty and lost, and wish that I could go back to the previous days. It was lucky I could have exciting days after Harry Potter as well. I’m thrilled to go into another world. I don’t think my career would be stable because of 10 years experience of Harry Potter. I have to advance more and more. So over the past year, I have been taking acting lessons and making efforts in my own way to do well in auditions. I’m aware that getting a role is never done by just waiting for somebody to hold it out to you.

Q:Are there any fans who think you are really Draco?

Many (laugh). That happens especially with children who are 9 years old and under. They come to the set, get hugged by Daniel, get kissed by Emma and shake hands with Rupert. Then they look at me, squeal, and back away (laugh). And I tell you, I’m always trying to be nice to them, saying things like “Hey guys, let’s shake hands.”

Q:Isn’t it because your performance is fine?

I’ve been acting convincingly enough to scare them off. That would mean I’m doing just fine, wouldn’t it? (laugh)

Q:We heard you’ll play a villain again in the next film.

I started filming “Rise of the Apes” after we finished Harry Potter. New role is different from Draco, but there is some kind of resemblance. Playing a villain is fun. People seem to believe I am good at playing such roles. No trouble. I’m happy to do it if they offer.

Q:Do you have any dreams beside acting?

Recently my friends and I started an indie record label to support young musicians who don’t have chance to show their talent. It’s very exciting.

Tom also appears in another special section in this issue titled “Twenty guys you’ll fall in love this autumn!”
In this topic, Rob Pattinson is on the first page, followed by Zac Efron, and Tom is introduced with his co-stars Daniel & Rupert.

Tom Felton Makes 6 & 9 for Harry Potter’s Top Moments

Cineplex has issued the Top 15 Harry Potter moments… so far! in anticipation of the imminent release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I.” Our favorite moments of Tom channeling his iconic role Draco Malfoy have made the list. At number nine we have our favorite evil little cockroach getting his comeuppance, while at number six is Tom’s greatest acting moment in the entire series.

9. Malfoy gets what’s coming to him (Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban)
From his very first condescending appearance in the Philosopher’s Stone, it’s safe to say that every member of the audience has been waiting to see erstwhile Hogwarts bully Draco Malfoy get his comeuppance. And while the character has since evolved into one with a surprising number of layers, I think it’s safe to say that watching Hermione punch his lights out after accurately pegging him a “foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach” was equally satisfying for both the characters and the fans. No doubt he had it coming, but more importantly, it gave Hermione a chance to briefly let loose and shine as something other than the stereotypical brain. To paraphrase Ron, it wasn’t just good, it was bloody brilliant.

6. Sectumsempra! (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)
Before our very eyes, Draco Malfoy has gone from one-dimensional school bully to a multi-layered villain. We’ve seen him get his just desserts (see #9) and cheered as his punkish plans were derailed by our heroes. Never once did we feel any real sympathy for him. Until now. The weight on his young shoulders begins to take its toll and we can’t help but feel for him as he and Harry battle it out. For Harry, things are a little more black and white but even he pales to see what harm he’s caused Malfoy with his heat of the moment ‘Sectumsempra’ incantation. While this violent moment leads to some introspection on Harry’s part – is the Half-Blood Prince trustworthy? – the audience learns themselves that not everyone is always as they seem.
