Like every year at this time Tom is currently on vacation in Miami. Although he certainly has a great time there, he misses his friends from filming his new movie “Labyrinth” (we reported here, here and here), especially his faithful horse Poncho. “Text Santa” is a new show that aims to raise awareness and money for those most vulnerable during the festive period.

The first show kicked off on 11th December and yesterday was the finale show on ITV 1. Tom and Rupert had a little video message for all. They called for donations. Funds raised by Text Santa will be divided equally between six charities, being Carers UK, Crisis UK, Samaritans, Help the Hospices, WRVS, with the sixth charity being comprised of four charities raising money for children’s hospital’s.  These are Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Helping Hand Charity, The Noah’s Ark Appeal and the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.

Today, Tom Felton confirmed to Feltbeats.com that he will be attending MegaCon in Orlando Florida, February 17th thru 19th. Advance tickets are $24.49 for single day tickets, or $58.04 for all three days and can be purchased here. These tickets do not include autographs or photos with Tom. No word yet on any panels, but we will post a schedule as soon as it’s released.  The @Feltforce will be in attendance and would love to see you there!

Next year in February, Tom’s upcoming movie “From the Rough” comes out (we reported). Because the release date is in less than two months, I thought it’s a good time for another post about the movie. There is nothing new, but I’ve put together a video from the previews of the actors and their characters from the official website of the movie.
Reminder: Tom plays Edward, a lower class British youth with a rakish charm and a contempt for authority.

FROM THE ROUGH is based on the true story of Catana Starks, a former swim coach at Tennessee State University who became the first woman ever to coach a college men’s golf team. With drive, passion, and guts, she took an unruly group of mismatched kids from around the world and guided them to an all-time record at the PGA National Collegiate Minority Championship.

The movie will be out in the US on February 3, 2012 ! (They wrote it on their blog.)
