 Here was my question:
You’ve posted some music videos on YouTube where you play the guitar and sing. Are those all original songs, and how long have you been writing and performing?

And here’s what Tom said:
I won’t lie. This is the first time an interviewer has asked me about that. A friend of mine, a good musical friend of mine, moved away about a year and a half ago, and she was always very keen to hear new music. And we just figured the best way to do that was to put it onto YouTube — under an alias, obviously. But it didn’t stay hidden very long, and now it’s very much sort of in the public domain. So it was never really intended to be an advertising spin by any means, but yeah, they are original songs and obviously not sort of developed by any means but just sort of a little early draft, if you will. Just a bit of fun! But it seems to have a positive response, so I’m enjoying it.

Wow! Congrats to Tom Felton, whose “Time Well Spent” YouTube video has now been watched by more than 700,000 people! And, the video still maintains a 4 and 1/2 star rating, which is hard to do with so many watching it. It’s official - Tom is a hit!

So, Tom, we think it is time to please upload some more music, so I won’t get in trouble for talking about video games.

Wow! Tom’s YouTube account has now reached the #50 most-subscribed channel of all time in the United Kingdom! That’s really amazing.

Perez Hilton, infamous and annoying blogger for perezhilton.com, posted a note about Tom’s videos!

British actor Tom Felton - the bleached blonde bully in the Harry Potter flicks- is also a budding musician.

Groan.

Felton has an album in the works and he’s even opened himself up to criticism by already posting some home-made vids of him singing on YouTube.

LOL. I think the funny thing is that the comments are pretty overwhelmingly positive! Some people even defended Tom from Hilton’s “Groan” comment - though I’m not sure that was really Hilton expressing his opinion of Tom’s music, but rather the idea of “another” crossover artist.

Anyway, check it out and post something positive for Tom!

Since Tom’s latest “Time Well Spent” Medley video was released, the Feltbeats YouTube channel has really exploded in popularity!

Currently, the channel is listed as the #52 most-subscribed (all-time) channel in the UK and also #26 most-viewed (this month) channel in the UK.

The “Time Well Spent” Medley video was viewed nearly 600k times! Wow!
